It all started with a boy and a girl working together (at
McDonald’s) *LOL* Mike and I met at work in Leslie, MI. Our relationship
started September 2004.
We moved to Moab, Utah in October 2005. The following
April, our beautiful baby girl, Faith, was born.
We were married in Sept 2006 at a small ceremony in Moab, UT!
Mike left for boot camp at
Fort Knox, KY in January 2008. We lived in Utah until March 2008, when Faith
and I moved to Anthem, AZ (staying with Mary and Bob, Mike's mom and dad) until Mike was out of
school. He graduated from boot camp (after 10 long weeks) in April of 2008.
Then of course, another 6 weeks, AIT. Mike got stationed at Fort Hood, TX and
we joined him in Killeen, TX about two weeks later……BUT……not before learning
that we had a new bundle on the way! I found out I was pregnant with our second
child while in Michigan visiting my mom! (For those of you doing the math…..I
visited Mike in AIT one weekend ;) ) Right after we got to Killeen (about 2 weeks)
Mike deployed to Iraq for his first deployment. He left in 2008 for 15 months!
UGH! He was able to take his R&R just in time because Anthony arrived in
Feb 2009 while he was home.
About 4 months later, Mike returned home.
He left
for his next deployment to Iraq in 2010 for a 12-month tour. He returned from
his second deployment in 2011.
The Army deployed him again in 2012-2013 but
this time to Afghanistan. When he came home we were informed that we are headed
to Fort Drum, NY!
We got to Fort Drum Nov 2013! We had two horrible winters and
then Mike got deployed in May 2015 for a 9-month deployment to Afghanistan! NOW…….we
have orders to Germany, with a report date May 2016.
We are planning to travel
as much as possible in Germany……SO……I am starting a blog to allow our family
and friends to check out where we go and what we see! Also, I want to show off
all of our fun!!! So with that being said……EXPECT SOME AWESOMENESS with the
weeks/months/years to come! However, before we start this adventure, I plan to
share previous adventures and trips! Just as a prequel to what is to come!
